Key Experience in Interactive Visual Reporting

Angela Shen-Hsieh, President and CEO
Since graduating from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1991, Angela Shen-Hsieh has been pursuing forms of communication and information delivery that fascinate, inform and prompt people to think. As the President & CEO of Visual IO, she has been developing innovative ways of representing and navigating information for enterprise applications.

Her work has helped large organizations like Fidelity, Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson gain new insights into their businesses and has provided decision makers—managers, executives and line personnel—with faster and more-informed views of the criteria impacting their critical decisions. Her work has also been published in Metropolis, the Harvard Design Magazine, eDesign Magazine, New Media Creative and other trade and design publications. Recently she co-authored a paper, "Data Visualization for Strategic Decision Making," which was accepted into the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Digital Library.

Angela is a past President of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Boston Chapter. She also speaks and lectures frequently about data visualization and related design and business topics. In addition to her graduate degree in design, she also holds a BA in Architecture from Columbia University.

Mark Schindler, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer
Through his role directing new product development, Mark Schindler has consistently produced innovative approaches to representing data and delivering targeted expert solutions.

Previously, Mark directed consulting operations as partner at Schindler + Associates, Inc. Prior to that, he was Marketing Communications Manager at Macmillan Software Company, a scientific analytics and data visualization software company. He holds a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he was the recipient of the AIA Certificate of Merit and the John E. Thayer Prize. He also holds an AB in Chemistry, Magna cum Laude, from Dartmouth College. A recognized expert in data visualization, Mark lectures and writes frequently on the topic.

Mahesh Pai, Vice President of Engineering
Mahesh Pai leads Visual IO's development function. His team of engineers and programmers is responsible for designing and delivering world-class interactive visual reporting solutions.

Mahesh is the former VP Engineering of IntraLinks Inc., a market leader in SaaS solutions for document-based business collaboration with more than 3,500 clients—including more than 100 of the world's largest financial institutions and seven out of 10 largest pharmaceutical firms. As a key player in the growth of the company, Mahesh was responsible for executing many critical initiatives. During his tenure, IntraLinks grew from $12 million in revenues in 2000 to $120 million in 2007.
